"HINDU-CHINI BHAI-BHAI" DOES THIS REALLY EXISTS?



It is said that 21 century is the Asian century and if this is true,Then the two Asian giants are India and China having a population of about2.4 billion are suppose to be lading nations of the world.Both the countries have a glorious civilized past.But the bilateral relations between the two countries ,made due to few contentious issues,are affecting their potential negatively.
Let us see the different phases of Relationship between India and China.Broadly it can be divided into three phases.
#First phase (1949-1957)
This phase is known as Ideological Overtones.In this period Indian-Chinese Premiers exchanged visits between the two countries and signed PANCHSHEEL agreement in 1954.The purpose of this agreement is to guide the relationship between India and China.

#Second phase (1957-1978)
This phase is known as period of clash and tension between the two countries.In this period China attacked India in October 1962.There were a lot of tension between the to countries during this period.

#Third phase (1978-till date)
This is the period of normalisation of relationship of Relationship between the two countries.Both the countries have decided to move ahead in the areas of Co-operation specially Economic
As this is a very important phase so few important points of this phase are:-
#Both countries re-established diplomatic relations in 1976,which were snapped after 1962.
#Indian Foreign minister A.B Vajpai visisted China in feb 1979
#Eight rounds of boundry talks between the two countries
#1981 both started to start negotiation on boundry dispute
#Indian PM Rajeev Gandhi visited China in 1988
#Chinese premier visited India in 1991 in december and both countries restarted land border trade
#Indian President Venktraman visited China on a goodwill mission in 1992
#Indian PM Narsimha RAO visited China in september 1993
#Indian PM A.B Vajpai visited China in June2003which resulted in the setting up of a Joint Study Group(jsg)
#Chineses Premier Wen Jiabao visited India in April 2005.The JSG demanded an Indo-China Regional trading agreement including of trade in goods and service.This Agreement was accepted
#chinese president visited India in Nov-Dec 2006 which provided a further filip to co-operation and bilateral trading between the two countries.
#The Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh visisted China in January (13th-15th)2008.
